What's up with the forum?

50% of the time when I try to log on I get a database error or some similar message, and can't get on. It is happening more and more all the time. Or, I will be in the middle of posting and it just goes dead. I can't be the only one that this is happening to, and it is really frustrating. It used to just happen on weekends, but now is happening just about every day.

Pages just freeze on me and I got to close browser. Been ongoing for a couple months for me but it could be part of my internet connection I'm using while abroad. It doesn't stop me from checking in though.

I know it isn't my computer because I can immediately click on another forum and they pop right up. But if I check back to CHR I get the same messages, sometimes for half a day, sometimes for just a half hour or more. No, there is definitely something dragging on the system, and I thought it might be just too many people logged on, but that doesn't seem to hold water either because it happens to me even at 3 or 4 am when the traffic is nill.

This is the only site I have this problem on.

Uncle Bob had a thread up about a month ago - and this was the subject. Since Brent built his servers about the same time as I built my computer, I figure that they are just getting crotchety. I partially rebuilt my computer 2x since with better (read more expensive) parts so I figure he used better parts the first time that we are about even now and his servers are gonna go black. My 'fix' - like every one else - go to another forum then stop back

I just chalk it up to being busy internet in my area or site problems,
then try logging on later.

Don, I'm seeing the same thing. I only saw occasional problems back when Bob P. posted his "Get Ready to Crash" message, but over the past week or so it's been more like you describe. I have noticed that if it gets to the point where I get the "DataBase Error" message it also says that the owner of the web address has been advised of the problem, and it's generally back within an hour after that.

Yup,same here..Last night I hit the backwards arrow,to go back to the top,and it took a dump,,so I hit it again,and it still refused,so I went elsewhere,and went back later...no probs,,I can live with it,most times..

sometimes you catch a site at reboot time .
