To answer Whiplash's question about the gators, I live in central Florida, the Tampa Bay area to be exact (only about 20 minutes from Kurt). My wife has a saying about the gators, "where there's water, there's a gator". We live in a community of 550 houses and many little ponds through out the neighborhood. At certain times of the year, it's not unusual to see a gator basking in the sun on the banks of these ponds, often within yards of the backyard of someone's house. It's not uncommon for people's pets, cats or dogs, to be snatched up by a gator if it gets too close to the waters edge.
