Hey,good question,Whiplash,,I think a lot of us down here in the southern hemisphere, sorta dont realise the different climates you guys have up there in that country of yours..and all at the same time..yeah,we understand summer, winter, spring and autumn, but the variation of all that all over the country,if ya follow my meaning...You know...while Dave Severson is getting over a real freeze up in the Dakotas, someone is dying of thirst somewhere in a desert in Arizona...

    That might be me.
It got so hot here last summer that I saw a lizard carrying a stick in his mouth. I followed him for a little bit to see what was up. I guess the ground was really hot, because he would run for a little while, then drop the stick and stand on it.

For real,Tech?? I got a feeling that this is where the thread gets hijacked,so I will apologise to Kurt, who,is doing the suffering here, and I am sorry to here about your health, but Techs post reminds me of a story about a guy from Australias outback, who, one day, decided to take a break, and have a few days at the coast,as he had NEVER had the chance to walk on the beach before. So he packed his bag and jumped on a train, and left for the east coast,to have a bit of R&R.He went fishing, and caught a few mullet, and the odd flathead, first time for fresh fish too..The day before he was due to go back home,he caught another mullet, put it in a bucket so he could take it home to show the family, hopped the train, with his bucket, and on the way home, the water level was receding a bit so he topped it up with fresh water, did this a few times, the mullet didnt seem to care,so when he got home, the bucket was topped up again, and again, until the water was fresh, not salty at all.Well, because of the drought,he couldnt use what little water he had at home on the station,so eventually, the mullet was floppin around out in the yard with the chooks, fightin over scraps of food,no probs....Well,one night, the drought broke, and it poured with rain for HOURS...
The guy came out the next morning, and ya wouldnt believe it...
    There was his mullet,lying in a puddle....DROWNED....
