    gun control

This is a spoof video explaining what would be the way of life for a criminal if guns were banned. Its kinda funny, but its very true to what we would be looking at.

NO, The load of crap is the libereal "FOOLS" who believe that banning guns will ban guns. Or that banning guns will automatically solve all of the problems of a society based on freedom, and a Constitution that "protects" the right of the "PEOPLE" to keep and bear arms if that is there desire.

I was very sorry to hear of the loss of your young friend Dave, VERY Sorry!! But to blame the gun for his death is the libereal misguided way of those who are really interested in telling us all what to do. You sir are intitled to any opinion you wish to have, on gun control or any other issue. You have just as much right to be wrong as you wish. On this issue you are wrong plan and simple, of course thats only my opinion but you don't begridge me an opinion do you???

Geez, the same old arguments, slogans, and bumper sticker intelligence..... Really getting tired of the same old garbage about guns.

In my short lifetime I've had 3 personal friends (this is not counting military time) killed by legal guns in the hands of legal gun owners. Too many lives wasted.

IMO, the 2nd Amendment gives the right to states to maintain an armed militia, which the states have. It's called the National Guard.

The military does of course need to be armed. At least in the military there is some semblance of control of a weapon, who's allowed to have one, and when they are to be used. There is extensive training in how and when to use a gun, and the rules for the use of a weapon are strictly enforced.

In the civilian world, the police of course need to have weapons. Too many crazies roaming the streets to have unarmed law enforcement officers.

But every civilian in the country should be allowed to carry a gun???? Backgrounds are only checked at the time of purchase. From this we should assume that the mental fitness of the gun owner will never change??? That he won't become a homicidal maniac because of drug and/or alcohol use???? That he won't, in a fit of rage or because of deep, long lasting depression come to the conclusion that shooting people is an acceptable way to resolve a conflict???? The standards to maintain a CDL or a Taxi License are higher and more rigorously enforced. Where's the logic in that???

Then there's the conspiracy theorists--the government is out to get me--aliens are trying to abduct me--These people too should have the inalienable right to keep and bear arms???? Right, their thought process is based on fact and logic!!!!!

Let's not forget hunting... You know, where a bunch of people get together, pack up all their guns, ammo, whiskey, beer, or drug of choice and go out in pursuit of some stupid, defenseless animal--of course they're only hunting because there family will starve if they don't kill Bambi!!!!! Maybe so, but only true in a very, very small percentage of the hunters out every year shooting at deer, bears, cows, horses, large dogs, buildings, farm equipment or anything else that moves or doesn't move!!!! Wanna be a hunter, leave the dang gun in the gun locker (you do keep your guns securely locked away in a gun cabinet when they are not in your possession, don't you???) and go hunting with a bow and arrow. At least a misplaced round won't kill another hunter, or kill some little farm kid out playing in his backyard!!!!! By and large, the majority of hunting trips are just another excuse to go out and get drunk with the guys, except in this instance the drunks are all carrying and firing a lethal weapon. Yeah, that's a worthwhile past time!!!!!

No, I'm not a liberal. I'm just a person wondering why it is that so many people think there only course of defense is to shoot!!!! Worried about home invasion? Get some good locks, an alarm system, and a Rotweiller. Lots safer then firing a gun at an "intruder" (or is it just your kid trying to sneak into the house cuz he's late for his curfew time?) and having the bullet go through the wall and kill the neighbors kid who's sleeping in his bed??? Heck, I'm just a 5'8" cripple and all I have for "home invasion defense" is a Louisville slugger sitting by the front door!!!!! It hasn't failed me yet!!!!

Oh yeah, then there's the old "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns".... Let's analyze this... If guns were outlawed, then the military, the cops, and all the bad guys would have the guns. Seems pretty simple to me. If your not in a police or military and have a gun, then you must be one of the outlaws and should be caught. Seems it would be easier for the cops to pursue, capture, and convict the gun toting oulaws if they didn't first have to separate the "legal" gun toters from the bad guys....

And the military, lets get them the heck out of all the countries all over the world and bring them home!!!! Let them do the border patrol, check all the ports, and help out the civilian authorities in times of natural disaster. This would also free up are largely understaffed police departments across the country to go out and pursue all those bad guys and get them off the streets..... Do we really need all those overseas bases staffed by US Military???? Would you mind if Germany or Japan opened and staffed a base just outside of your hometown???? We need to quit trying to police the whole world and keep our troops at home to help get our own country straightened out!!!!! Don't we have all these super trick, ultra high definition spy sattelites to keep an eye on all them commies all over the world???? Talk about a waste of lives, talented assets, and money!!!!

If all the gun owners would just lock up their guns and invest the same amount of time and money into making the world a more peaceful place instead of squandering it on more guns and ammo, maybe guns could just become a part of history and left in the hands of those who are actually qualified to use them and supervised by people whose job it is to know how and when to use a firearm....

How many "legal" guns are lost or stolen every year and fall into the hands of the bad guys or little kids??? Or is this just another one of those "price of freedom" deals we should be willing to pay??? A 9 year old gets hold of Daddy's Glock and kills his 6 year old sister, but that's ok, it's the price we pay to guarantee our 2nd Amendment rights, right????

Again this year there is a small group of us, though every year our number grows, trying to convince the legislators to bring some sanity into gun ownership. Guns need to be registered and gun owners licensed. Gun owners need to be held accountable for the responsibility of owning a gun and keeping it in a secure place so that it does not fall into the wrong hands and winds up wasting more innocent lives. Gun owners should be required to buy and install a trigger guard on every gun they own. Guns should be kept in a secure and locked gun vault. New guns should be made with the electronic gadgetry that assures only the licensed owner can fire the weapon. (This technology already exists) Every gun owner should be required to keep in force a liability insurance policy in case their misuse of the gun results in damage, injury, or death.

Gun ownership should be like all other rights. With the right comes the responsibility of not abusing that right. When that right is violated the individual should no longer be allowed to own a gun.

Hunting is a privilege, not a right. Anyone hunting with a gun and intoxicated or behaving in a dangerous or reckless manner should have his privilege to hunt removed.... A gun is as dangerous as a car in the hands of a drunk, shouldn't the same criteria be good for both????

Anyway, save all the hype, the flag waving, and the conspiracy theory crap for the next Rush Limbaugh call in show. Recognize that the right to keep and bear arms should not be extended to all. Be willing to accept the responsibility of owning a gun, and notify the proper authorities when others are abusing their "right" to have a gun.....

Common sense will solve a lot more problems then a gun could ever hope to....

....and now, let the name calling and flaming began. I can take it....

Well that was for sure and for certain a mouth full. The easy thing to do with that dribble of a post would be to take it paragraph by paragraph and respond in an manor appropriate to the way it was written. Trouble is since not one word of it made any sense what so ever, why bother?? There is an old saying " If I have to explain it you wouldn't understand it anyway" man how proper is that at this point!

Saves the board a big pissing contest that no one will win, and lets Dave set back with his Louisville Sluger and feel all warm and cosy at how secure he and his family are. After all if things get too bad Old King Obama will come and protect them.

maybe if police officers did there jobs correctly and would actually respond within a decent time frame things might, MIGHT ok probably no, be different. ehre if you report something stolen, a break in, or a car break in they dont respond they take your name number and never call you back, mighty nice of em aint it. i have had over 5 thousand dollars in tools, equipment, electronics, and parts stolen from this property im sick of the "police" they dont do shit. to many meth heads out there these days to NOT own a gun.

thank god i live in mississippi...even our cars are considered an extention of our home and carrying a gun in your car is legal without a permit...of course we were raised with guns from children and respect them...Yes, we are hunters...No not for trophys but for food...not because we would starve, but because we like eating bambi and rabbit, wild hog and wild turkey...etc...yes even with bow and arrows...if you dont like the gun laws...move your A$$ to England...some sorry SOB tries steal what i've worked my whole life for and i catch him...it will be his last robbery...

    peace

    and god bless
