Nothing like feeling your heart palpitate with the air raid sirens going off. The first time it happened I told the local hardware store owner about it. He said, Steve if you think thats bad, imagine us in our new home three weeks after this store had burned to the ground! He's a great guy, running the local Rex Hardware. Been in his family for almost 100 years. We were devastated when it wet up in smoke. A real piece of history gone! The community threw them a pot luck for their grand reopening a few years ago now. 500 people brought food! Nothing like a good hardware store!
