every other camera, I have had does work like a USB drive.. The HP I have is the only 1.. I never did figure out why, but I have a card reader in my printer, and I can get the pictures off the card with it.. I'm actually amazed at the quality of the HP I have, it's approx 5 years old, 2.1 MP but still works great.
