How's gas price other states. Here in Pa. $3.50 for 87. Going cost me $80 fill Nova with premium. Gas price is killing our Italian Food Business. Getting really tough havivg your own small business. Plus you got pay for commercial insurance on van plus liability insurance. Shame this business been in family since 1967. I saw this comming in 2004 everything going up. Sold all my cars and truck bought two new chevy cavaliers end 2003.
In ILL it's $3.45 For 87 fuel . I will try to run the 89 in the Monte Carlo .
$3.13 to $3.24. At the c-store that I man the pumps at it is $3.13. But you know that everyone is taking advantage of the higher cost. In Abilene or Salina they pay the same price as we do. Mainly the depot is in Salina. At $3.13 we are making about 3#cents per gallon. Last nights fax showed that todays retailers cost to be $3.13 for unleaded. The wholesaler sends out a fax every day at about 5:30pm. I keep a very close eye on that so that I can fill up my truck nomater if I got gas yesterday or not.

You guys are lucky. Our prices here in Southern Ontario are about $1.08C per litre today, which converts to about $4.02US per gallon for regular.:CRY: :CRY:
I won't even talk about premium or diesel prices!!
3.15 regular---3.45 premium at the local Quicktrip here in St.Louis this morning.
$3.29 for regular and up to $ 3.59 for premium here in SW Florida. It's a National crisis, right up there with home mortgage foreclosures. Saw a program yesterday on TV about how long haul truckers are really feeling the pressure with diesel at over $ 4 a gallon. This is affecting every one who drives a car to either get to work, or for work. It will raise prices on everything from the pizza you get delivered to products that have to be shipped in from somewhere else. Even our Police and Emergency vehicles are being cut back to save money on fuel.
And yet the oil companies are reporting multi BILLION dollar profits...........surprise, surprise!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

When our we, going to say enough is enough, the people that can get by without driving for a few days should park their cars. Retired people, people who don't have a job to go to. Only the people who can get by without a car, should stop driving for a few days. Think about how much money the oil companies get when they raise the price 10 or 15 cents a gallon. Times those gallons by a few million people not driving their cars for a couple of days it would have to hurt them a little. It’s not going to break the oil companies but it would make them take notice. Let this be the year people stay home instead of going on vacation. People talk about high prices and all indications are that people will not use any less gas for vacations this year. People have to ban together.
During the civil rights movement the people stopped riding the buses. As far as I can remember it put a hurt on the City. Think about it!!!

Here in south central PA, regular has been $3.25 - $3.49 for a couple of months. Premium has been $3.45 -$3.69 for about the same time. Unfortunately, both of mine take premium.:( :CRY: :CRY:
The real shocker here is diesel. Nearly every place it is $4.23 +:eek:
Ithaca, NY- 3.35 for 87, 3.59 for 93, Diesel 4.25-4.50 The state put a cap on their 4% ( county get 4% also)sales tax last year at $2 .This week they said need money so they are going to tax the whole amount -an addional 4% on everythong over $2
We're bouncing between 3.15 and 3.19......what kills me is people around here drive with the hammer down like it's 1.50 a gallon. I'm glad I don't pay their credit card statements.......and everybody asks why bankruptcies and foreclosures are at an all time high....hhhmmmm......go figure.
My wife is in England this week - and she is telling me that gas prices are equivalent to about $8.25 per gallon.:eek:
Wow, Wow.and Wow My wife works part time she makes $8.50 per hour she would have -.25 cents per gallon per hour it takes 2 gallons to get to work and back home. Two out of 5 hours would go for gas if we lived in England or if we had their prices, which could happen!!!!!
Gas around us goes up and down like the weather one day it's $3.39 the next day it might be $3.19 The highest we have seen it was $3.89 for 87 grade.
Just a thought how long would it take my wife to walk 20 miles to work? :LOL: :LOL:

The worse ones are the women driving SUV's and mini vans and anybody driving a Prius. Prius drivers act as if it is their God given right to go as fast as they desire.:mad:

Springfield, Mo $2.95 to $3.09 depending on which end of town you happen to be. That's for 87, I don't even look any higher.

A neat web location to look at gas prices is "xxgasprices.com" where xx is a major city. For instance, "dallasgasprices.com" pops up a page with gas prices for Dallas Texas. You can graph the historical prices and also graph them relative to two other cities.....

In lafayette Indiana it was 3.30 for 87 octane yesterday, and down to 3.13 for the same today. about friday it will be back at 3.30 for the weekend.
Where I live it is 3.19, 3.34, 3.44. We are about .10 higher than most places around here. If I go to Memphis(about 60 miles North) I always fill up. It's usually .15 cheaper there.
A real pain in the behind driving home from KCMO today. I noticed a lot of the independent truckers were driving unusually slow, blocking lanes etc. Not too bad but noticable. I think they were protesting the high cost of diesel fuel. I feel for them but, good luck with all that. I did notice a train of about 20-25 hotrods and kustoms out in a driving rainstorm around Eufaula Ok. That was cool

You also had a matching trailer to tow behind the truck. You heading down to Hammond in a few weeks? I can't make it this year. Hope you have good weather for the event.

I believe it was the Democrats who scuttled drilling in ANWAR and now they are the ones complaining about the oil company profits. I say paint the oil rigs white so as not to scare the caribou and build a refinery in Anchorage. The Congress had a chance to allow drilling in ANWAR with a trade to raise the CART mileage limits, but they could not work together for the good of the country! Draw you own conclusion!

Yep, Don, you are so correct about ANWAR, the California Coast, off shore both Florida and North Carolina. and the Democrats succumbing to the tree huggers and bunny lovers. I will happen eventually, but they sure are making it tough for the average man to live within his means. What they have done is create a feeling of entitlement for many of those that have no understanding of economics. While I have no problem with folks that are oriented to nature - there has to be a balance, and their way often is not.Quote:

$2.989 for 87 at the Indian Reservation in Governeur. Ethenol is 60¢ less OR $2.79 in Western NY at 3 stations NOT on the REZ....
Ethenol= 2mpg LESS, smells like blacktop gas, and burns real hot, cooks the oil and is spoda be the coming lifesaver in NY.. Yeah Right..
Most of my puzzlment goes not to gas companies but to the buttheads on the streets that bitch about the gas prices but then go out and pedal like they got John Force's budget for nitro.
Light changes, accelerate like you and Brandon Bernstein are in finals at Pomona- next light already red 500 feet away.
On the freeway the mofo is on and off the throttle and brakes like a funny car in tire shake due to traffic flow so he can gain 50 feet in 1/2 a mile.
The complainers about gas prices have no idea when they last checked their tire pressure for optimum performance and unless some light tells them have never had anything like a "tune up " performed on their crate.
And as they drive on the streets they are actively accelerating 150 feet from a stop sign and have no concept what coasting or freewheeling is.
If the a-holes that do this stuff actually learned how to drive they could save a gallon or 2 per tank at least. But no, it's more logical to blame somebody else and play the victim.
I see that all the time - and often from those drivers in cars that are but a step or two from the salvage yard. I have a gas hog and drive it like I have a raw egg under my right foot - and of course get the nasty looks from the soccer moms in their Expeditions, Escalades and minivans rushing their kids from one activity to another. The worst seem to be the diesel pick up truck owners that want to "show" me in my V10 how great their trucks are - with their $4.39 fuel vs my $3.32 gas and their 12 mpg vs. my 12 mpg.
