i actually got a bit irrate at a reply to a post of mine and had wanted to quit this site again but all is well now .. it takes about two weeks for me to get over an angry spell .. jakashh .. my car is white to begin with cause white shows less rinkles and bad body work .. i dont have the skills to smooth it out nor will i pay someone many thousands of bucks to do it ..NFTDAY .. no .i dont have extra wheels but the are just american racing wheels i got from summitt racing and painted the spokes black myself ( they come gray ) and mellowyellow !! what kind of engine is in that thing ???
Mellow- Very cool engine on the RPU.
Hoss - how's the stang's engine. Last time I read a post on it you said something happened(sorry can't recall now, but sounded like you needed to do some major work? It's a classic that makes me miss the old 68 coupe I had, though most of it's life in my ownership, was not in running condition. Wish I had it now!

three stories involving this pinto grown up in weeds one or none of which may be true .. you decide ..
i`ve actually known the car since 1973 .
.( story # 1 ,), it was won as a grand prize giveaway at a local ford dealor by a fellow student in high school .. but he wasn`t old enuff to actually take ownership of the car so it had to sit until he turned 16 .. unfortunately he never made it .. he was killed in a farming accident at home .. but his parents kept the car anyway and there it sat for over 35 years .. the parents have passed away now and the car has finally disappeared ..
( story # 2 ) ..in 1972 twin students patrick & patricia McCorkle were given shiny new red pintos for graduation presents .. as they both were pulling out of the dealors lot patrick was struck from behind and was consumed in the fire that quickly engulfed the car . one of the known major defects of early pintos .. the slightest rear impact would push the gas tank into the rear end and bust it spilling gas everywhere or pull the filler neck out with the same resulting inferno .. the other new pinto was parked and never driven again
( story # 3 )..during the " great tornado " outbreak of april 3rd 1974 the home where this pinto sat was swept from the face of the earth .. both parents and a child were never found .. yet clothing and papers found later more than 150 miles away were determined to have been from the residence .. the car was not touched and is still sitting on the abondoned property
Hey HOSS, how've you been doing? decided to poke back in here. I was thinking about Pinto's and it seems you have been also thinking about them too lately.
My old stang mechanic had bought a black pinto with a 351 in it, but sold it soon after. He shut down his shop a few months ago, so i don't talk to him anymore, so i was wondering how to put a 351 into a pinto? is it a fairly easy swap? what is needed?
I am considering this way later as a project when i'm making more money and am independent hahaha
go the easy route with a fox body stang ;)
if you are as lucky as i have been in my life you have known some great people :).. this is one such person ive` known all my life .. hired me many times to haul hay and pick cotton when i was a kid .. was a personal friend to both bear bryant and guv wallace in the day .. hence the houndstooh hat .. i let people know i appreciate them and what they`ve meant to me .. old folks i know are passing away every day ..:(
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...g?t=1287855236
so i'm gonna take it that it's a very complicated and/or expensive procedure?
and it's good to know that you've known them, that's better than nothing :)
i love the fact that i live a 1/4 mile from a cotton gin cept on the days when the wind is blowing my way :( like today .. the constant roar of hugh motors makes pleasant sleeping noise .. it will gin till early december ..

This is my Grandson, Colton, and he is becoming quite a young man in spite of
the very hard first 11 years of his life. For several years he was filled with
anger, low self-esteem and a ?Mother? that always put him down and never
helped him with anything. Well for the last two years, he has been living with
his Dad (my youngest son), in a loving, nurturing, Christian home and altho it
has been trying at times, he is now making good grades, playing nose guard (2nd year)
and confident in anything he tries to do.
"If I ever had to go to War, I would want him in the Fox Hole beside me !"

signed, a proud pawpaw
he is a brutally handsome kid .. i dont understand why good looking kids have low self esteem .. i was always ugly and called such even by my own family members ..i still suffer from it
Hey Hoss, I'm with you on the "not so good looking" looks but I remember my granddad telling me..."Son it's not what you look like, it's whats on the inside that counts, and son ,you got a big heart, and don't forget it"
I noticed you have changed your avatar again, man you keep us guessin what you will come up with next.:D
You take now you hear?
the great flood of 010 .. or at least the hard sprinkle .. if it rains a 1/2 inch here it floods my ditch and covers the road .. iv`e not done anything to my stang lately .. i`m greately conserned with my future at my work place .. we have been acquired by a large corp. and they are laying off all us old time employes by the dozens .. i`ve been there 21 years .. i dont have confidence i will last the rest of this year .. we are being replaced by temps and contract help .. dont have to provide and bennies for those .;)

Looks like a normal Texas shower!! Spent time in Corpus in Uncle's Canoe Club (USN), and several times had toad strangler rains that stacked up a foot or two deep until it could run off to the bay.
now that is sweet looking
Never saw anything like that when I had the pleasure:rolleyes: of sailing:rolleyes: with the Canoe Club.
Hoss,I feel for you..I once lost my job two weeks before Christmas..and because I was a part timer, even though I worked most days of the week,I never got any holiday pay...it was a mean Christmas,i can tell you..I hope your employers look at the EXPERIENCED staff and have second thoughts,mate..They will end up shooting themselves in the foot..You cant run a business with people who arent experienced at the work..

What an awesome action photo Hoss and adore the caption. My little cockapoo Nelson is always getting attack by my two cats as he is blind and they certainly let him know if he is tooooo close. The funny thing is that he is covered with dog wool and just turns his head away from them is if to say "so what, what is your problem??":)
sems it fixed it self
Grandson took a Bob Cat at 50 yds with his 243 last weekend !
