Here in Kansas (at least in MY county) a Motor Vehicle Clerk would have gone through the stack of receipts one by one, adding up the dollars spent for any receipt that didn't show State Tax paid, and if it DID have State Tax in another state, calculating the differential between the tax rates. My Johnson County Sales Tax is 7.48%, but if I lived in the city limits would be 10.475!! (6.5% Kansas state sales tax, 1.475% Johnson County sales tax, 1.5% Gardner tax and 1% Special tax.) To get the title you pay sales tax on every dollar spent, and it's subject to review after the fact.Originally Posted by Mike P

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
