I'm also the guy at work that walks past the newbie's and say " Your sure you got all the rods and mains torqued aren't you? " Of course I wait till they have the pan on before I ask.

An old story for you Seth. Many moons ago in the sprint car days, we had two different motors as we ran at a couple different tracks with different cubic inch limits.... Late, late, late one Thursday night (Friday morning) getting ready for a 3 day race weekend I had checked bearings in both engines and had both back together and on the stands....one of my "friends" laid an extra rod cap on my bench, then of course pointed it out to everyone still there! He let the deal continue until I was just getting ready to pull the first pan and see which engine I had screwed up!!! Aren't friends great?????
