I got some foam from this place to replace cushions in our RV, I got the Lux version, firm but feels good.

I ordered my seat foam from thefoamfactory.com I used 3Ē thick firm on the bottom and 2Ē thick medium on the back. I got the vinyl on sale from JoAnn Fabrics. The total materials cost was about $85.

I glued the foam to the plywood, then wrapped the vinyl around it and stapled it from the back. Itís pretty simple looking, but I like it that way. The seat is really comfortable. The bottom cushion just sits in place. The back cushion is attached with two hinges on the bottom. The seat back folds forward to access the storage space behind it.

About ten minutes after I finished the seat, I headed over to a local weekly cruise in at Biff Burger.

Iíve got 300 miles on this thing now. Iíve had no real problems with it. It drives straight as an arrow at freeway speeds. It is pretty harsh on the bigger bumps, Iím thinking about removing 1 or 2 leaves from both the front and rear springs to try to improve the ride a bit.

Right now is prime cruising weather in Florida.

The seat looks great and good deal to hear it drives great and you're putting miles on it!

Nice work and I know the storage area will come in handy. My old Goldwing motorcycle had way more storage than my T.

This was a fun build to watch, even though I'm sure it's not quite done yet cuz I don't think they ever are lol. Good for you that you're getting miles put on and having fun! Is that a weekly gathering at Biff's burgers? There's a Hardee's in Sioux falls that every Saturday night has a gathering.

Thanks Seth. I’m sure it’ll never be fully done, lol! At some point I’ll pull the body back off and paint it.

Biffs holds their cruise in every Friday night all year. It’s a really neat open air bar and burger joint. They have live music, and awesome burgers and beer and ice cream and such. The parking lot is usually overflowing on Fridays. It was half empty this past Friday. Maybe due to the Corona virus.

Part of the reason I’ve been wanting to get this car on the road is for an event this coming July. My high school Auto teacher is putting on a car/motorcycle/boat or whatever show for the 50th anniversary of the St. John’s High School Automotive Program. That’s up in Michigan. He’s doing a great job of promoting this, and all of his former students are invited. I’m planning on driving the T up to Michigan and back, to attend this show.

We’re lucky to have a lot of weekly and monthly gatherings in Florida. I could honestly hit one about 5 nights a week if I wanted too.

All of this CV stuff going on has a guy really bummed out. Hopefully it is better before June. I'm going to be hostile that I actually have 2 things drive able to take to my favorite show 4th of July weekend and it could be cancelled. We are going to back to the 50s in Minnesota in June too. Hopefully things turn around by then.

It sounds kind of selfish, but I hope they don't get canceled either. I've been working on the kitchen in our house all winter, and I was really looking forward to some road trips with Rita. Back to the '50s in Minnesota is one of them.

I took my wife to the drive-in theater in Ruskin, Florida. Neither of us had been to one of those in about 40 years!

Well, you can't get frisky in that thing because everyone can see you. Besides, there's no back seat...

    That's pretty cool.

I don't think there is an open drive-in anywhere near me. Used to be a bunch. One of these days I have to find one that I can take my wife to. She's never been to one.
