Well it doesn't look much different than it did before but after 'SEVERAL" hours working on my little lathe I made 2 new air cleaner bases out of aluminum. The chrome ones were too big for the filters and very sloppy on the the carbs. So now the filter is just about a pressed fit and there is about .010 clearance sitting on the carb. In other words it fits perfect. I finished up working on the tail lights. I polished out all the brass and repainted the buckets. My shop was throwing away some parts with stainless 3/8" conduit on them so I polished them up and they look great coming out of the buckets. I put the headlights on and did a bunch of stuff you can't see. I polished a bunch more bolts and installed the alternator bracket, water pump, pulley's, and test fit my fan. I started figuring out my exhaust and got a quote from a custom exhaust place for $1600-$2000....yeah I don't think that's gonna happen. It's all mandrel bent and aluminized & it will most likely be perfect but nah. I'll figure out a cheaper way. I have to I just can't afford that kind of money for just an exhaust system. On to some pictures!
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
