I got some more stainless rod so finished the grill trim.

Pulled the fenders around a bit and re glassed the cuts I made, fit better now but gonna have to an inch in the width to bring them inine with the tyre groove, I want them to stick out a little.

Not much done the last few days but I had been looking at the front of the hood and thought it looked bland, I didn't like the way the beltline trim finished square, It how the originals were so decided to bite the bullet and fit the original trim in place.

Hell yeah, now when that beast is all one colour, those chrome trim pieces will give the whole vehicle an original steel car look,I like.

Have you decided what colour and whether it will have a flake added to it yet?

Hope the writing is a better size and how is your foot/ankle now Steve ?
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Hi Whip, no flake mate, its gonna be the colour of the scoop, I guess you could call it american red oxide as it has less red in it than ours.
Heel still the same but the painkillers are helping, thanks for asking, It will take more than this to stop me getting on with the truck.

Hmmmmm, thought Sue would be wanting this one to be PINK, since it's "Her" truck....

Glad the heel is cooperating with the pain killers.

Not all women are into the 'girly' colours mate.
The '47 is technically Rosie's car; so She chose the colour.
    It's yellow.
    Man but it's Yellow!
When it came out of the paint shop I looked at it and thought "What have we done!"
But it has grown on me since.

I like how you can just reach into the scrap pile and pull stuff out... An original hood ornament.
    Looks right at home.

Just "poking the bear", jb, giving Steve a bit of a jab about fitting the seat for his designated welder and all around "Girl Friday", seeing if he'd take the bait. Seemed that she'll likely be the one running about in the shop truck most of the time whilst he's working metal to be welded, so maybe she'll pick the "colour"?

Those trim pieces and hood ornament are a nice addition! Was the ornament hard to track down?

Not much to post as had to come off the pain killers as they were affecting my balance and thinking but heres a bit more progress, I wanted to get the bed floor mounted which involved drilling the bed sub frame for 8mm rivnuts, most of the rivnuts could be put in with ordinary rivnut pliers but the 2 in each corner were not so easy, I mentioned this to the guy at the fastener shop and he produced a rivnut tool for tight places, It just looked like a bolt to me with a sleeve and at £22 he could keep it !!! But I did take a few pics of it before I left
It basically is a 10mm set screw with a bit on the end turned down and threaded 8mm to accept the rivnut and a sleeve, 1/2 hour later I had my own one for nothing

Very nice work! Your rivnut tool is better than mine. I just use a bolt and a little larger nut with some washers the ones our small tool won't do.
