Nice lookin' shock set..
did you lose a driveshaft?
This weekend I needed to go get some wood and the only truck I have with an empty bed was this one. There's a lumber yard open on Saturdays in Monroe so I jumped in the truck and headed over. I took back roads and made it with no issues. Got the wood loaded and headed back home when I saw red and blue lights in the side mirror. Uh oh  I was pretty sure I wasn't speeding but I honestly wasn't paying attention. I was just enjoying driving the truck. To my surprise, the officer pulled me over to check out the truck. He has a 71 2wd and really liked the truck when he saw it leave the lumber yard. He was blown away after I showed him it. It was a nice surprise. :) The rest of the trip was fine. I really need to get the trans controller installed so I can take it on the 4 lane. Haha
After my wood working project, I had the kids because my wife went to her barn sale. This is the sale that her and her sister put on to sell the projects we have been making and redoing. She sold $200 worth of stuff and that helped boost her motivation. (It also means more work for me) I decided I needed to make some progress on my excursion. I got the new fender put on, installed the header panel, head lights, and got the bumper repainted. On Sunday night Allyson helped me put the bumper on. I still have to adjust it some more. I have to install a new RH front window motor, remove and install new 2 sided tape on the emblem and fender trim, and it should be ready for the streets. I might sell it but for now it is a back up vehicle. It could use re painted but I'm not going to mess with that until I get my 76 put together. Who knows, maybe it'll sell before then.
That's good progress there Ryan.
I wonder what was goin' through your mind when the lights went on in the mirror?!?!?:LOL::LOL:
Crap?
Through your mind?
Was your ring-gear puckering that much?
Crikey!

(Just pokin' the bear mate, just pokin' the bear! Couldn't resist it...)
After laying on that wet creeper that I see in the middle picture..
I'm sure you were sayin' CRAP!
 I used that to lay the fender on while transferring pieces from the old one to the new one. Wouldn't you know that it rained early Sunday morning and there was nothing said in any forecasts? Never. At least that was the only thing I left out, and I put the plastic over the inop window. That could have been a wet hiny. Haha
That would happen to me all the time before I had a shop to work in.
Get something all apart and it would start to rain! At least it always seemed to...
I got all the glue removed from the fender trim and emblem for the blue excursion. I replaced the 2 sided tape and got them installed. I have to figure out why the RH front window isn't getting power to roll the window up. It's looking like it might be the main switch on the driver's door. That'll have to wait until after we go on vacation in 2 weeks.
I haven't had any time to work on this thing. I cut a hole in the bed floor and shoved the goose neck ball in, and put it to work. I still have a long list to get done before I start making routine trips. I had a neighbor that needed a skid loader hauled, and a friend that needed a small tractor hauled. I used this truck since it is the only truck I have with a goose neck hitch currently. They were both short trips. I could have used that front drive shaft yesterday morning though..............
Ya know Ryan.... it seems you have way to much of a load to carry..
I'll just come by and help lighten that load.... I'm not much into corvettes so the pickup and trailer can come with me.
Deal?:HMMM:;):rolleyes::LOL::p
