I know, Steve. Today I stopped by the shop to do some measuring and looking to see what would fit where in the bed. I want the bed to be very short, about 32 inches or so. My rear slicks are 30 inches in diameter and I need to leave 2-3 inches between them and the back of the body. If I do the 32 inch bed it will end up right at the back of the slicks with nothing sticking out further. That is how I think I want it.

I can visualize how I can get an aluminum radiator back there that is about 19 high x 29 wide and stand it straight up and down at the very back of the bed. With a couple of pusher electric fans and louvers in the tailgate I think it will cool the Olds ok. The extral length of the lines from the engine clear back to the radiator should kill some heat too.

As for the rear suspension, I am leaning more and more toward the coil overs and three bar setup. It does make a nice clean setup, but I still have to factor in a gas tank. I woud use the one Ken gave me, but it is only 2 gallons and is too pretty to put gas in. I might convert it to hold Captain Morgan.........that would be the hit of the car shows. That Moon tank is going to be proudly displayed up front.
