    Thanks AZ40.

You can always learn by going to a metal shaping meet somewhere.
There are two good websites for this if you're interested.

A few more pics on the welding and slapper dolly work.....

    Thanks,

Thanks for the kind words lamin8r.

This deck lid is becoming a long project.
    I'm still busy tapping away.
Once I get to the top of the repair, I may go bact to the bottom and start tapping away all over again to get out all the imperfections.
This is a good opportunity to really learn some slapper and dolly skills.

I got the deck lid skin pretty much done.
I found a few dings to work out after I sprayed the inside with epoxy.

I then had to move to the inner panel.
There was bondo hiding some holes as well and the whole lower edge had rotted out.

    Thanks Dave.

I found a self inflicted ding in it after I hit it with epoxy....DOH.
So a little more pinging and dinging is in the near future.

very nice metal work there pugsy i have been beating on metal for 36 years and i wish i had the time to do what your doing .i was going to start making alum parts for my goat. pick up the plains to make a wheel .just to many engines to machine and build .at one time i could beat/ slap file on body metal all day and night . l was happy with that like i was in my right mind and i did that till my arms started to fall off me

Exceptional job, Pugsy. Between you, Pat, Dave, and Pro Z (plus several others) I've learned more here in the last five years than I have in in the 20 before that. You guys do some amazing work and it's a pleasure to watch.
