Bobby,
What is that stuff you used to mask off the engine? It looks like a board of some sort glued to the engine then cut to shape.

And thanks for being a good sport!

HAHAHAHAHA - what you CAN'T see are the piles of treasures on the other side of my car and my work bench in front of the car nor can you see the FEMA disaster area where we "attempt" to park the daily drivers

Bobby, thanks again for being the good sport! While I've never been a nailhead fan, I am excited to watch and learn from your experiences!
Dave, I was thinking there is no way for a "FEMA disaster" in that "shed".. then I noticed what appears to be a vacuum cleaner hose on the lower right in that pic.. HMmmm.. made me wonder... then I realized there isn't even any "objects d'art" on the walls! Can you say HOSPITAL?

OH, and the "roadlights" over the plate serve more as a distraction and actually draw attention to the area.

But that's just being picky now... Isn't it?!?!?!

Dave, that just the mark of a thoughtful photographer who frames the shot to present the "subject" in the best light, however, I'm guessing that even your so called "FEMA disasters" are neatly stacked!
I'll bet after a day working under the car you're the type to come out looking lightly greased whereas I'm that type that comes out looking heavily dipped in it!!

I've always been envious of guys like that!
Now, before we hijack Bobby's thread any further, I'll shut up! You're doing great work on the 31, Bobby! If you have any updates on the '37 I'd like to hear/see about them wherever you want to post them....

I knew IT. I was just thinking as I was reading this, wonder whats on the other side behind the camera. Probably looks like my garage. I've got 3000 sq ft of crap stuffed into a small 2 car garage............
But that roadster, (insert drooling noise here), Super Clean, Super Nice...........
