OK, your comment forced me to go back and look for the "...shown ages ago", and I found the single pic 12/23/2011 showing your Christmas present! I never put together that there were two different sets of springs, one "old knackered set" and a shorter, chromed version sitting in the wings. What the search did do was give me a quick scan of the fabrication pictures throughout the build, and reminded me of just how many pieces/parts you've made from scratch, or modified to suit your needs. It also showed that you're about ten steps ahead in the process mentally, knowing six months ahead exactly what you'll need, and getting things in place to get there! Your fabrication talent is amazing, sir, and I again thank you for sharing the details with us.
