Well Steve, now you know what's wrong with your becoming such good friends with Pops..............................your thread has now degenerated just like his do.................

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

A few weeks ago i was playing one of my guitars (i'm also a guitar freak) and suddenly thought my Telecaster knobs would make great switch knobs if only a tiny bit bigger, you can buy them off the shelf but they are a bit small in diameter, while i was thinking about them i noticed some pearl insert things in Sue's crafting box , anyways i turned up some knobs in steel (didn't have any stainless the right size to hand) and recessed them to take the pearl thingys, I knurled the outside and dropped them in the chrome shop.
Got them back today so glued the pearl thingys in place, I'm pretty pleased how they came out

I mentioned earlier that my regulator cover had some blemish's i couldn't get out, next best thing was to cover them up
My good mate the Bigbossman is in printing and sent me these he knocked up, I mounted them on a piece of 1/16" polished stainless and will rivet it to the regulator cover, nothing like a bit of advertising is there

Its aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

I could pat you on the back and tell you again what a true craftsman you are, but instead I'll point out that now we all know that your nice little tag is covering up some not so perfect chrome..................... And Steve, would you happen to know a good scrap man this side of the pond? I've got a load of hot rod junk that needs to be hauled off...........

And yes those are sweet knobs..........
