Loose grounds are the WORST! Problem is they're going to show continuity on a meter, but you can't easily tell that there's resistance there and it doesn't take much to mess up an instrument feed. Glad you found it and got it fixed!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

True, loose grounds are pretty bad but maybe not as bad as worms in your paint....
I wired both the fuel pump & sending unit through a 4 pin connector back at the tank so it would be easier to disconnect for tank removal. During this process I also figured out my multi-meter tester had gone bad. It's hard to diagnose a problem with a defective tool! Once I figured out the sending unit actually works, I had to look more closely at all the connectors. The flaw was subtle but seemed to be the only weak link.
Funny how it doesn't matter how many "do-overs" are required to fix something, it's still kinda rewarding to turn on the key and see it work!!"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
