I'm brand new here. Bought a 20 year old fiberglass build with a 302. Can anybody help me ID this motor. Numbers are from the block on top of the starter

E7TE is all I can read clearly

I see Tech beat me to the punch line.. 8-) One thing to understand the first 4 characters represent when the part was originally engineered, so a number like C4xx would be for a part originally engineered for a 64 product, but could've been ( has been) used in vehicles into the 70's or even 80's, so it's a combination of the first 4 then last 4 with any suffixes, that make a full number. HTH.

But welcome to the site and hope you enjoy your time here..
Since your new and all... I won't start off with the "requests" for pictures... yet!

ps, a great "cheat" is to type in the full number into a google search to identify what you have, then you'll get ebay results and yahoo etc. etc. etc. works pretty good!

E7TE, 1987 Truck Engine.
Should have hardened seats in the heads already, won't flow as good as say a GT40 but it'll be good for all street car / cruiser.

How much horsepower you trying to get from it?
