I dropped the fuel tank again today and finally found the source of my inaccurate gas gauge. The connector on the ground wire that bolts to the sending unit was not squeezed tight enough to make a good enough ground.
What a PITA!! But I'm glad I found it. After a trip to the gas station, the gauge now shows FULL!! Yay!! We'll see how long it lasts.......
