and then they quit building it....must of been not as successful financially as the little Ford.... Ford did win it's share in Trans Am and SCCA racing. Not even necessary to say how wildly successful the small Fords were in the Cobras...and the GT-40's the year they dominated LeMans.... I was fortunate enough to be around a couple different B-production SCCA teams that were running Mustangs, and even one IMCA car running a Boss 302 with some very trick (for their day) high port exhaust Clevleand heads that Gapp & Roush put out.

The Chevy parts in general are a bit cheaper, but not to the extent they were years back.

If the 302 was as good as some would have you believe it was, why is it that it had such a short lifespan in the Chevy engine options? Often wondered what it was that killed the engine being a production item from Chevy????
