    The standard Performer 2105 intake won't do much for you,actually an Edelbrock Streetmaster is probably the best all around choice for a 390 FE for your purpose, your cam selection is also a little too conservative for a 390 as is a 600 CFM carb which would be better served on a SBF Windsor Check out www.summitracing.com and run these part numbers in search: Howard 250031-12 and Holley 65-3310S this should produce a stout low end and mid-range,this Holley also has the Ford kickdown.
