10.8's at 3300 pounds??? Nope, we don't run anything under 460 cubes. Might go back to a Windsor some day, but the big blocks make so dang much torque...... The T-Bird is heavy, 3150 or so but the Comet comes in at 2600....
Sounds like you have some good classes out there anyway!!!! Bradenton, Fl. runs a great big non-electronics bash in late January, 10K to win!!!! We run a throttle stop on the Comet, it'll go 9.70s without it on so we just about have to to keep it at 9.90.... On some of the big $$$$$ bracket deals Rodney shuts it off and runs with the bracket cars. As for pump gas, we run E-90 in both cars, the higher compression is just cheap horsepower IMO..... Setting the 'maro up for E-85, same rationale---cheap fuel, 105 octane, and lotsa compression!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
