Thanks, Pat... sure missed the little guy and his mother this weekend. Not hearing anything unusual... car has mufflers (if you can call flowmaster 40's mufflers )... all I hear is the usual sewing machine sound of the valve train.

Dave, humidity is typically pretty low but saturday was down to 29%... and around 40% most of sunday.

This weekend was the finale' for the Quaker State E.T. Series. I run in two classes "Run Tuff" (no electronics no trans brake) and Pro ET (no electronics trans brake allowed). By electronics I mean delay boxes and throttle stops. The other class I run in Sunoco "King Street" (street legal, current plates, insurance, headlights, mufflers, etc) I already have the championship sewed up with the last race on 9/19.

Did okay this weekend but not great. Lost in 3rd round in both classes. Both of which I beat myself mentally getting psyched out by who I was racing. Went red in one (-.010) and slept for the other (.106).

My goals for this weekend were to make the podium (6th place or better) in Run Tuff and make the top 32 in Pro ET to qualify for the invitational Wally race 9/27.

I didn't improve from my 10th place standings in R/T but made exactly 32nd place for Pro ET When I left last night I didn't think I made it with only 2 round wins (I started at 43rd place) but apparently all the right people lost. So I will have two shots at the Wally here in a few weeks.

Anyway, I'm just happy we made it through the weekend without breaking... will see about inspecting the cylinders this week.

Will need to take care of some safety tech things before running around sea level. Transmission shield required at 10.99 and this car should run 10.90's maybe even 10.8x with the right tune....

Can your big block Ford do that on pump gas under 440ci in a 3300# car?

    -Chris

P.S. Congrats to your guys on qualifying so high!
