what about a 151 cube Nova 4cyl? easilly workable in a T. 2.3 Pinto motors are also a good option. Even if you wanted an I6, Ford 170-250's would make a great motor for that, 200-250's can be found in 1970-1981 Ford Mavericks, Mercury Monarchs and Ford Granada's, and the granada/ monarchs had an option of a 4spd which is very simmilar to the Toploader, For auto's, they all had C4's, and the 250's have the SBF bolt pattern so any SBF trans would bolt up.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
