We have had 4 Vega's, with a 283, 350's and a 427, all with 4sp's, we used chrysler 8 3/4 rear ends from Darts in them, they are 1" wider then the stock Vega rear end. We would remove the brackets from the Vega and weld them on the 8 3/4 rear end, never broke one, and we weren't kind to them.
