Why not be diffrent, instead of chopping the top, actully raise the top about 4" then, section the body 2" and channel it 2" over the frame or just section it 4". Sectioning is cutting the body in half horizontally, then cutting out the desired section amount and weld it back up. Just thoughts to consider. Door skins would work for the sheetmetal.Originally posted by dropped10
cool, i was comparing pictures last night and it looks as if the 2 doors are shorter. I was thinking about going by the wheel base to get my measurements. Then cutting out what i dont need., and doing what you suggested making the windows one continous piece. I was hoping i could use the door shin for the sheet metal since it already has the proper contour. but if i screw up! i guess you can fix anything with a welder. ANother thing i was thinking is if i chop the top i will have the extra metal to lengthen thwe roof for the front post to line up. As of now i kinda have a clean canvas. So im definatly open to suggestions, and i appreciate your help. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
