In the mid 70s horse power numbers listed were NET --taken at end of trans tailshaft with all accessories hooked up---alt/water pump/p/s----and was in a period of time when compression, etc was toned down to make the exhaust pipe smell good---of course all the sniffers already had there sense of smell burnt out from what ever they were sniffing------------
But in my Chilton manual list 75-76 350 4 barrel 8.5 compression at 165
