Are you dead sure it is not coming from above, running down to the pan/block joint, and then finding a path down the side of your pan? I chased a leak on my new 347 including changing the pan gasket and finally found problems with my valve covers (no baffles on the breather connections, poor fit to the heads). A new pair of valve covers and it has been dry as a bone, so far.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

pan would not leak oil up on the oil pan rail setting there. less if there a rust hole there is a clip on oil pan pass side were gm holds the trans line they will rust thru there .other then that it top of engine oil leaking down .or fule pump /plate . valve covers . intake rails .oil sender .front seal . bad damper seal cut . no front bolt in fuel hole. not pluging the oil pump rod hole .crank case not vented....Last edited by pat mccarthy; 01-09-2011 at 03:48 PM.
