I have always been a big fan of RPM small blocks, go for it. A friend of mine just built a 4" bore with a 2" stroke. You should hear that thing

Everything the same, except swapped in a Lunati #60133, 249/255, 0.585"/0.600", 110 LSA, Timing events 18.5/50.5/61.5/13.5, retarded 2 degrees. This cam makes less power than the previous one until 5500.

I knew there was 700 hp in this combo, I just had to find the right cam to get there. Swapped in a CompCams #12-900-9, 252/258, 0.630"/0.630", 106 LSA, timing events 20/52/55/23, retarded 2 degrees.

If you are going to use it on the street i would beware of the ally rods, I had a set from Miller that were called street duty for my old 6/71 blown 427 Ford and they stretchedIts aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.
