    Dave,
    I have always been a big fan of RPM small blocks, go for it. A friend of mine just built a 4" bore with a 2" stroke. You should hear that thing

    6.209" rod length
    12.5:1 static compression ratio, E85 fuel
    Brodix -10 heads
    Max-Flow tunnel ram mounting two 650's
    Large tube, stepped race headers
    Crane solid roller #118581, 240/248, 0.543"/0.561", 110 LSA, timing events @0.050" 15/45/59/9, retarded 2 degrees

    I knew there was 700 hp in this combo, I just had to find the right cam to get there. Swapped in a CompCams #12-900-9, 252/258, 0.630"/0.630", 106 LSA, timing events 20/52/55/23, retarded 2 degrees.

    If you are going to use it on the street i would beware of the ally rods, I had a set from Miller that were called street duty for my old 6/71 blown 427 Ford and they stretched
    Its aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

    Aluminum rods are as strong if not stronger while under engine load.

    When you wind it up, let off the gas and let the engine slow the car down is where you risk stretching a rod on the street.
