well...funny thing...we put the front of the engine back on thinking it was the timing marks on the timing set were miss aligned...but they weren’t. It was the crank gear that had three key slots and when #1 was at TDC both valves were open...Well needless to say I learned allot because it took use all day to figure something that small out...lol
