yes you can do anything but you need to have oil in the pan so the oil pump can pump it. you suck air your all done ...oil needs to be in the pan a accumulator is a stopgap from burning the crank out of the engine when things are not going the way they should i would not think i would use one for short comings in the capacity of the oil pan
