    A typical 383 build consists of a .030 over 350 block, with a 400 crank with 6" rods. You can use the 5.7" rods but there are some clearance and fitting issues involved and its just easier to use the 6"ers. A roller cam is the way to go, specs depend on what the motor will be used for, street, street strip, strip, rpm range, car wieght, tranny type, rear gears, etc, etc, what kind of intake are we talking about here ?
