    and that same 10 grand will almost build the short block for my Ranchero.... Guess it all depends on what you want and how bad you want it..... If you're willing to settle for less, fine. If not, if you're going to play, you're going to pay. How much you pay depends on how good a player you want to be!!!!

    Aluminum block, billett crank and rods, small base circle roller cam and lifters...... doesn't take long.

    a HC 700 donovan block is 5500+ new with no machine work 10.000 is not much i have about 8000 in my 632 with no cam just rods crank pistons block and it has just has ohio rods in it

    With a bit of a price break, think I'll have the short block together for just a shade under 10.....

    well that news to me.... eriks building some thing bigger them me ? will i have to bore it till 4.5/8 or what?

    Naw, his is just a 540... But nevertheless bigger then my 514, so I gotta start with one of the good blocks just to keep up!!!! What can I say? It's a tough neigborhood!!!!!!!!

    i do not use it and the guys i work with on there engines are dumping 500hp so they do not care if any one detects its
