print out the tech sheet and make some calls to the cam companies! These guys are the experts and all it costs is a phone call. The numbers Pat put up should be close.... I've always had real good results with them, accuracy on the sheet is the most important thing!!!!!

Just a personal thing, and nothing scientific to back it up, but I've never gone over 525 lift unless it was on a mechanical roller....

the cam my friend dave is telling me to get <irony huh?> is something like.
.512 .515 with a shi*load of duration i can get those specs tomorrow hes sacrificing lift, for the durationt hat will carry it to the top end when i got look at the block and crank they are done yes! and the crank got away with a good polish block was also decked .10 or .12 piston will only be int he hole .10 now. with those big domes i am stressing piston to valve clearance!

Make sure you use some clay and check the piston to valve clearance, always used .100 clearance as a minimum...... Don't know if that is accurate for a chebbie or not????

    Good call.
    I had a 67 with a BBC/glide that I bracket raced for two seasons.
Nothing that fast 6.40's but I loved that car.
Both the Ford and Chevy guy's hated me.L.O.L.
