I totally understand your aggrivation at the Old Geezers group for their often condesending attitudes, and sometimes sarcastic not so-helpful responses to questions- but in this case, to give you a good answer you really do need to give some more info on your setup before anyone can give a good answer....

Exactly what "bowtie" heads are you talking about?

If they are good old camel hump 64cc heads, they are good heads after porting and big valves, but they are definitely not the best in the universe.

WIth a fairly mild solid cam and good 64cc heads with those gears and a 3k stall, you will be EASILY running with your friends in the 13's.

A firend of mine has a basic 350 with vortech's and a Comp XE262 Hydraulic cam, 3.42 gears and a 2200 stall and he is pushing high 13s in his 69 chevelle. and that is still a very mild cam.

With a more agressive cam, stall, & gears- I'm sure you would be edging in on the 12's.
