I get something like 370 HP at 5,000 rpm, 426 lb-ft torque at 3,500 rpm. Not enough difference to spit at between the cams. Run the hydraulic.

Heads are the right size along with the carb.

The only thing I see is the comp. ratio.
The .488/.510 has a 234/244 at .050.With this cam you really need 10 to1 as a comp. ratio I.M.O.
With the 9 to 1 comp. ratio I would try this one .465/.488 duration at .050 224/234.

with the .465/.488 duration at .050 224/234 cam what kind of power numbers could that make because i have one of those cams im thinking of putting in a 350 with 9 to 1 compression and a ported set of 487 casting heads. its a cheapo motor i want to build with parts i have laying around for a fun little g-body car.

If your heads flow good numbers and everything else is matched intake, carb, etc. it is enough cam to make 1 hp per cubic inch.

I agree with Erik, run the cam that he recomended along with the Air gap intake. You should make somewhere around 370 horses with that combination. Don't run a torker intake, the torker II's are alright.
