Fortunatly my heads were in perfect condition ,otherwise its better to atleast get a pair of stock vortec heads for about the same as it will cost to have the heads you have upgraded and you will not be any farther than the stock vortec head. The old heads will need new valves/new seats cut in and at the minimal a bowl blend to even come close to the vortecs.Unless you have a port job done ,bigger valves decrease the flow due to turbulence,The small bore of a 305 does not need 2.02 valves because of bore shrouding and clearance issues.
However you will need a new manifold ,because the vortec heads have a different bolt pattern for the intake.
