:HMMM: :HMMM:
Now by dependants< i would mean how many cars !
Theres a social security form down here that lists number of dependants on the property ? I have allways been tempted to put down 2;)
The voices in my head tell me I don't need counseling, just more time to work on my car.
if your motor had a 2 and 7/8ths inch stroke or the 2 and 5/8's inch stroke you would be hitting 12k to think about it!

At 12,000 rpm's do you really think a mech. roller lifter is going to stay on a cam lobe?Quote:

6.BME alu.rods $1,000.
These are all catalog price's.
For a grand total of $6,750.
Before you add pistons, rings, bearings, balancing etc.
This why someone is really full of BS.:whacked:
Yep, I can see that those are real world costings, thats why a lot of us that are on a limited budget dont try it !!!! When something lets go "as they do", the heartbreak would be to much.
Mind you i was looking at an article on the net, apparrantly chevy performance did abuild up of a 302 with a blower in 95 revs were reasonably at 6750. So obviously the interest is there. :)
Just google it and type 302 supercharged in the search. **)
Eric, I tried out the chat room in the sister site, works well, just got to get a handle on it. You want to try it at some stage.....but and hour seems to go by real fast, like in 10 minutes :whacked:
erik its not b/s the guy has it, hes about 60 hes had the car for YEARS and it is loaded full of good stuff. i will get pictures for you.
Maybe he has one of those old Mallory tach's and put it on six cylinder to make it look like he is turning it that tight.:LOL:Quote:

You really have no idea what it takes to attempt an engine build like this.
In the late 60's and early 70's they did not have the ability to turn an engine this tight.
I think it was 8500 tops back then wasn't it, I am over in the chatroom now
who said it was back then? i am talking now.
Burty,
Clearly you MUST build a 12,000rpm 302!! Nuff said.

12,000 Rpm Is For Fags. I Won't Ride In A Vehicle That Doesn't Spin To 18,000 Rpm's. Off I Go Too Drink Kerosene With Koolaid And Adjust My Valves For Another 18,000 Rpm Drive. That Is All........
