I hate to hammer Accell, bit I've had two of their super coils fail and three of their Super Stock plug wires sets with up to 15k resistance in individual wires. The Super Coils do make good bookends though.Ken Thomas

i dont think i know too many people that have had an accel part last them more than a monthjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

And a MSD 6A to go with it would help LOTS.Objects in the mirror are losing

an msd box is overkill.... an HEI would work plenty goodjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

Hey guys, I'm following along because I am having the SAME problem. one or two Plugs wet after misfiring starts. Reoccurring problem. Accel superstock wires, with high voltage brand new Ebay HEI unit. 8.0 Accel wires. I wonder if I'm getting crossfire? Clearly not great spark though. I have an extra set of wires I am going to try tonight after cleaning the plugs completely.
I had considered MSD, but like the simplicity of HEI, and it must work, because many people run them.
Interested to see what your result is. Keep us updated.
FYI - here is a picture of my HEI and wire setup (wires very close together, and one on the cap touches the air cleaner assembly when installed). Is it possible that if plugs are excessively black (I have just fixed the rich problem) that they would be less likely to fire? I'm getting frustrated. Installed the Jeep engine this last winter and haven't driven it more than 20 minutes total.

well if it smells rich then that can cause bogging down on the accelleration too, you flood the cylinders... you might just have to lean it out a little bitjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
