I replaced my intake gaskets, used sealer on top and bottom of the gaskets and .. now what? the "water" doesn't smell like anti-freeze, and yes i even tasted it to make sure it wasn't. it tastes bitter. can anyone help explain what this might be?

Could it be from when I replaced the gasket wrong and it was just just shooting out anti-freeze and now i fixed it the 2nd time? is it just blowing out all the old anti-freeze from the first mistake?
