most dress-up kits come with a chrome timing cover...

You need a balancer puller/installer to remove the balancer and PROPERLY reinstall it. (Sounds like it's time to buy your first specialty tool!!!) Bonus for owning it: if you want to install a different cam, replace the balancer, replace the front seal, or replace the timing set you now will have the needed tool forever.
