there is a 3/4 groove you should not need to use them on lower power engine for mild use they are abit $$ . i never used a H cam bearing for the bbc or seen one . i have used the durabonds ch 12 and gmp-12 for world blocks that make over 800+hp never seen a need to use any thing other then them .i like the the kings for oem use for mild builds and the clevites P are ok to . thats all you need for what your doing is a clevite 77. H bearings is for race use only less you have a large radius crank i have used them on the street but with big cranks large radius cranks .if your asking how i check them for size. i use a dial bore gage that reads in 0001 i use a 2-3 inch mic .i set off of the crank journal size. zero it to the size of journal. then with housing bore with bearings in block or rods tq up that tells me how much oil clearance i have and i move the bearing size to get were i what or if grinding the crank i grind crank to a size for oil clearance .i want but first i start by checkin houseing bores to be in spec on the small size for hi bearing crush this holds the bearing better in housing bore helps with the retentionLast edited by pat mccarthy; 04-22-2009 at 01:55 AM.
