    Frank,there is a G.M. srevice bulletin on this. Bulletin # 02-05-23-004
    I would post it up for ya but it is 5 pages long and I'm sure its copy righted.
    The short of it is intake replacement for a vacuum starvation and re program the instrument panel. You could do the intake yourself but usually you'll hafta take it to the dealer for the reprogram. also says you'll need a new owners manual after the re program ??
    part numbers on the intake are 89017230,throttle body gasket 17113561, intake gasket 17113557.

    I did check on recalls and there is a recall if it is equipped with a hydra boost system.
