and pretend you want to buy a rebuilt transmission and ask for the Tech guy and ask him the question. I found his comments very helpful and I might say that I got the impression from three different vendors of rebuilt 700R4 transmission that a stock rebuild will not hold up under 300 H.P. very long and yet what about the new corvettes? Anyway there is some question as to whether there needs to be some sort of improvement for 300 H.P. or more so you could ask the Tech guy about that. Maybe some of the early 700R4 trans are weaker than the later ones but I do not know which are the good years. If you have an early one that is a good question to ask as well.
