    I expect that it will hook to your throttle linkage on the carb, to give the transmission a throttle position/load demand reference, but I'm not speaking from experience, only using what Ryan said about it being linked.

    You'll have to hook it to the carb linkage or foot feed. Like Tech said, look in the manual. The correct cable adjustment needs to be done if not it can ruin that trans. Not enough throttle pressure and you can fry clutches etc, too much you could possibly crack a band or who knows.
