Just curious what you all think a rebuild on a TH400 should cost? Not looking for full race upgrades. Its running behind a chev 350 making about 300hp with a Ford 9" running 3:83s and a 2400 stall converter. I know the gears are to low and will be changed soon I hope. Just curious what a rebuild on this trans should cost. I'm in S. Calif. and prices may be different in other areas. Again, not holding anyone to a price, just trying to get a range so when I go looking I am semi informed. I'm also comparing what a new one would cost from Summit.

I'd also like to hear any tips on what to look for when choosing a shop? I always look for a clean shop but again, just looking for suggestions.
