Haven't read too many good things about this company.
Hopefully, your TV cable is just out of adjustment.

Take the TV cable off the throttle ball by pulling fwd. Then move the throttle lever (bellcrank) full throttle. Pull the tv cable forward and see if it lines up with the ball on the bellcrank. If it does pull it more and see if it goes past the ball on the bellcrank. If it does not line up either short or too long, it needs adjustment. Guys will come on and say to hit the adjuster knob and all that but this is foolproof and takes less than a minute to do to see if you're close.

Oh yeah, when you pull it the first time, I've found it ''hard'' to get full pull and pulled it quite hard to get it. After that it moved in and out easily.

If you have an aftermarket tv cable, it could be hanging up. I've had that problem before also.

Do not drive it until this gets figured out. It can burn up in a hundred miles.

Hopefully you stopped driving immediately ehen you found it not shifting right.

As for lockup, that's a minor issue compared to not shifting right.
